New Children's Novel Schools Readers on Having Faith in God

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 26, 2008 -- Kim Kuykendoll, author of The Adventures of the Coral Way Gang: The Mystery of the Forbidden Cave ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-840-3), says that sometimes you have to trust God no matter what the circumstances are because He is always faithful--and her newly released book aims to prove just that. The book, which is set in a small town in the mountains, follows the story of six neighborhood kids known as the "Coral Way Gang" who set out on a journey none of them intended to take but that was in God's plan. The gang travels to a strange land and are given a mission to find the "Shadow of the Lamb." Armed with only an ancient parchment containing instructions and a scarlet stone, they begin their journey. Annie, the gang's ringleader, struggles with not being able to trust others. She discovers she has been given a unique gift, but no one believes her. Will Annie--and her friends--learn to trust in God even when others let her down?

Says Kuykendoll, "Too many of our children our being lured away by the world's view of adventure and from God. My book will reach them on their level using real-life circumstances that our children face every day and give them knowledge that God is in control and He is there for them. Nothing and no one is hopeless."

As an administrator for the children's ministry in her church, Kuykendoll worked firsthand with young children and was able to tap into their creative energy, bringing out an imagination of her own that was both fascinating and knowledgeable. This was when she conceived the idea for her children's adventure book series. Already, she is hard at work on the second installment in the series.

Xulon Press, a part of Salem Communications Corporation, is the world's largest Christian publisher, with more than 5,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order The Adventures of the Coral Way Gang through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors.
